Filipino businessman Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. acquires historic properties of Galambine, Cullenbone, and Biraganbil to form the iconic Gooree Park Estate.

Lee Freedman's comment: Don Eduardo was a far better racehorse than people gave him credit for. He cost a record $3.6 million as a yearling, which meant that there was a lot of media attention and expectation of him. He really showed his talent in a stellar autumn carnival as a 3YO. He won his AJC Australian Derby on his merits. It was a great thrill for the stable to win that Derby for his owner, Mr. Cojuangco.

We proudly release this wine to honour smart missile, unbeaten as a 2yo winning both the Breeders plate and Todman stakes. Smart missile has sired over 20 stakes winners to date. Selected from premium shiraz and cabernet grapes, this wine has been aged for 12 months in the finest new grain French and American oak. Deep ruby red in colour this shiraz cabernet displays dominant aromas of juicy black plums layered with liquorice and capsicum. Complex oak, dried herbs, dark spices and silky tannins carry onto the palate of this medium bodied wine giving a lingering finish of vanilla and sweet spice. Enjoy now or be rewarded with further cellaring up to 10 years.
2022 Desert War Merlot
We proudly release this wine to honour Desert War the 2007 NSW Horse of the YEAR and a fourth generation Gooree homebred horse. Intense ruby red in colour, elegant nose that combines delicate herbaceous flavours well developed with red fruit and a hint of sweet spices. A rich velvety palate structure and chewy tannins are well balanced with persisting red and black fruit flavours. Pleasant lingering finish.
2021 Don Eduardo Shiraz Cabernet
Selected from the best barrels & from the best vineyard of fruit this wine is only made in the years of outstanding character. This wine offers intense blackcurrant and plum notes, complex oak, dark spices, pepper, caramel, and a hint of vanilla. Aged in new grain French and American oak. Drink now or cellar for 10 years.
2022 Crowned Glory Shiraz
With a vibrant dark red colour this wine displays varietal Shiraz aroma of black pepper, spice and dark red fruits. This fruit medley is enhanced with complex leathery bottle aged notes as well integrated fine grain American and French oak which give a rich and flavoursome palate. This fine example of Shiraz has been barrel aged for 12 months and whilst drinking well now will cellar for a further 8-10 years.

Intense dark red wine. Dominant blackcurrant Cabernet Sauvignon varietal aroma with a background of vanilla oak and cinnamon. The rich berry flavours carry through onto the palate giving the wine great length of flavour. This wine is drinking well now but has the strength to age for a further 5 to 7 years.

This Chardonnay displays the complex nutty aromas and flavours of a tradition French oak barrel fermented Chardonnay. The full creamy rich palate is a result of extensive lees stirring and gives the wine great persistence of flavour. A complex rich wine which will age well for up to 5 years.
